Rotimi Amaechi: We’ve Borrowed $2.5billion From China Exim Bank

Rotimi Amaechi former Governor of River State and currently the minister of transportation has said that the Federal Government had borrowed about $2.5billion for the construction of the railway linking Lagos and Ibadan.
On Monday night in an interview with Channels Televisions; Rotimi Amaechi was a guest speaker and he spoke about the construction of the Lagos and Ibadan Link railway he said: “If you look at the whole total cost it will be $2.5 to $2.6 billion that we have borrowed from China Exim Bank.
He also said that the Federal Government decisions to extend the rail line to the nation’s seaports were not part of the design but had to be done for the economic benefits involved.
